EPD Invites Feedback On Draft Position Paper
The Environmental Protection Department (EPD) has drafted a Position Paper for the Fifth Session of the Intergovernmental Negotiating Committee (INC) to develop an international legally binding instrument on plastic pollution, and is inviting the public’s feedback.
This instrument may affect plastic stakeholders and consumers in Barbados.
Persons are, therefore, urged to provide comments on the draft Position Paper, which will guide Barbados’ participation at the Fifth Session of the INC.
To view the draft Position Paper, persons should click here. Comments should be added directly to the online document for EPD’s consideration.
The deadline for comments is Friday, November 8. Queries may be directed to the Environmental Protection Department, at 535-4600.
